1. Why Organic Agriculture ?
In Organic Agriculture chemical fertilizers and herbicides are not used.
So, the product does not contain harmful substances for the humans.
2. Why the Organic Product is more expensive ?
Because in Organic Agriculture the tree productivity is reduced.
3. Why Organic Agriculture has reduced productivity ?
In the case of dynamic agriculture such as fruit trees the maximum productivity is achieved the the soil is free of weed roots and also when targeting fertilizing is applied. This is the reason that in the conventional agriculture chemical fertilizers and herbicides are used.
Herbicides are cleaning the soil from the weeds roots so the tree roots having a clean path in front of them to grow easily.
In Organic Agriculture the roots of the tree must "win" the space in soil from the weeds roots. So the trees are consuming more energy for expanding their roots. In the same time they are growing in smaller rate that the conventional trees. Production of the trees is also reduced
In conventional agriculture in each production stage the proper chemical fertilizer is added in the soil. The fertilizer is chosen depending on the chemical element the tree needs in each phase, considering also the concentration level of the element in the soil. So the trees are growing quickly and they are producing bigger fruits.
In Organic Agriculture organic substances are used and not chemicals. For example the weeds are cutted and their are left to rotten to become organic substances. The same happens while we are pruning the trees. Other form of organic substances are the lake soil or the animal manure. All these substances are food for the trees but they are not absorbing quickly from the trees and they are not precise fertilizing. The result is that the Organic trees have lees growing comparing with the conventional ones and of course less production.
4. For which reasons Organic Agriculture is producing smaller size fruits ?
- For the reasons mentioned in 3d question.
- Because in Organic Farming growth hormones are not used, So the fruits have smaller size and they do not have the same shape.
BUT they are more delicious
